Robin, how old before it's not a baby anymore? A question I've always wondered about... Is it measured in months? Weight? :hmm:

I think she's stressing the point of the word prefer. It can take some time to get a hatchling ball python to take FT, heck it can take adults some time to accept FT aswell.

As far as the term baby snake, that will have about as much variability as the term small rat. Seeing as I've had year old snakes at 1000g+ and some at 300 grams I don't know if you can pin an age/size/timeframe onto the term baby snake.

I wish I had more time to explain everything in the episodes too. You have to remember when we film we film a ton and then only a little gets used. I never really know what they'll cut out. That day we fed baby colubrids, baby Ball Pythons, and adult Colubrids. And we fed a wide assortment of techiques, when it came down to the edits a lot of it was left out. When I do the "outtro" I have to cover everything that we shot. Sometimes I look a little stupid:) Well maybe more then sometimes.lol

Those where baby rats and we go back and check a few hours later. I wish I could feed everything frozen or fresh dead, it's just not possible. One of the down sides of having a larger collection:( Thanks for everyone watching and commenting on the show! Brian(BHB)

    Another excellent video Brian!

What's the reason's you can't stretch the length of the episodes? I bet a 30min episode would be easily filled by you guys and very informative & entertaining...

    Re: SnakeBytesTV-feeding day at BHB
There are two issues why we can't strech the show longer. One is a file size issue. Most hosting sites like youtube only allow 100mb files. Ours are already between 60-90mb. The second is that most people on the net don't have the attention span to have a show much longer then five minutes. If we are fortunate to get a TV deal the show will be either a half hour or an hour. So you'll be totally sick of us real quick:) Thanks for the support! Brian(BHB)

    Just an idea...

You could have the regular 5-6min Video's for Youtube as a Trailer or Preview of the weeks Episode, and have a link to the actual 15-30min video in the description sending you to the Snakebytes website if they want to watch it in full.

That way your not taking Snakebytes off YouTube and won't lose any viewers
