Good. I did. I think every one of us should leave a comment. So he knows how irresponsible it is! And so he knows it's not just a handful of people who see his errors. I saw a few comments up there that seemed like they were from some of us smart herpers from BP.net! Good work! :gj:

I've got no problem with live feeders. But if you must do it, do it right for God's sake!
Keep it real, homies.
I agree with the sentiment of your post, but I guess I'm not as quick to start name calling. This snake owner very well may be uneducated rather than being "an idiot". We don't know this person, so we really aren't qualified to judge. That would be the equivalent of me calling you an idiot for telling this individual to stop feeding during shed. I would rather believe you are simply uneducated until proven otherwise.
Some snakes will eat through shed, some will not. There is absolutely nothing wrong with continuing to offer prey to your snake during a shed cycle, provided you do it responsibly. If you offer f/t, there is absolutely no harm in offering during shed. The most you risk is having to toss a dead rodent into the trash. If offering live, it is perfectly acceptable to offer during shed, one prey item at a time, and if the snake doesn't show interest and eat within 15 minutes, remove the prey item and try again after shed.
I was reading over the comments on this video and see that a few of our members have left him comments, but didn't bother to give him a link to this site in order to educate himself. Maybe I'll go post a comment on his video to educate rather than flame...

Read the comment again. Maybe you didn't catch it. But, you just repeated what I said. He needs some smarts so go give him the link. I might've jumped the gun by calling him an idiot. But, you don't show off your ignorance with a video on YouTube. I've seen enough videos on YouTube of snakes feeding. He's right up there with the guys that shoot fireworks at one another on the videos and wonder why they're blind when a Roman Candle his buddy aims at his face fries his eyes. This one's worse, because that innocent python is going to be the one to suffer.
It's only a matter of time before the odds catch up to his ignorance. If you don't want me calling him an idiot, then I'll just call him an ignorant individual. He is at fault for not educating himself on proper husbandry before getting the reptile. Don't tell me he didn't have access to it. He can obviously post another video of his snake eating on YouTube. Why can't he google ball python care?
Maybe if he spent more time educating himself than posting his retarded videos, he'd be better off.
How about those cheerleaders that jumped that poor girl and posted the video and now wonder why they're in juvi instead of at cheering practice? I think I'll go post my thoughts on that in the Off-Topic Cafe instead of hijacking. lol
But please do give him the link. I think he could use all of our help.

And from the youtube page...

Don't put it into trees outside either, unless you like her having mites & ticks.
I have read both your post and your comment on his youtube video multiple times, and I don't feel like I'm saying the same thing as you. I didn't stoop to calling this person an idiot based on an assumption that he doesn't care about his bp.
Also, I don't feel that it's a matter of "wise up and use frozen/thawed". Without turning this thread into another f/t vs live thread, there are several keepers who are "wise" and still feed live without issue. Also, keeping with the educate rather than flame thing I've got going, a snake may pick up a tick from being placed in a tree, this is true. Mites on the other hand live off the blood of snakes and will not survive without it, so unless you're putting your bp in a tree that is inhabited by a mite infested snake, I find it highly unlikely that a bp is going to get mites from it.
Also, I did go back to the youtube video and post a comment referencing this site. Even if he doesn't join and educate himself, we now know that the information is available and has been pointed out to him. If he has the information this readily available and still doesn't make use of it, the guy is an idiot... LOL

Oh, okay. I guess it's cool for you to call him an idiot and a "no no" if I do it. I meant that if he's going to drop in multiple prey items at a time, he could do that with f/t. I wasn't dissing those who feed live b/c I have posts in those forums. Thanks for educating me on the tree issue as well. I posted him a link as well. I'll be sure to go back an edit my post on YouTube for you so it just says ticks. Or are they not found on trees? Thanks for the insight.
