I don't know anything about an usually large bulge in BCAs, but I don't own either...not yet anyway.

Re: Boa Feeding Recap
well, it's day 4 and no regurge yet... so I'm hopeful my meddling didn't stress him too much.

Re: Boa Feeding Recap
5 days and no regurge!
I finally lifted the hide and the bulge is gone
looks like he's digested ok....I'm going to start handling him again over the weekend and wait for that poop :)
I guess I was more stressed about this little guy than I ever was about my BP...interesting.

Re: Boa Feeding Recap
Jeez, I never heard the advice of "don't feed BCA/BCC again until after they poop". My BCC poops like maybe once every 4-6 weeks...she'd never get food if I waited.
Is that just advice for babies/juvies?

Re: Boa Feeding Recap
I'll have to go through my notes, but I believe as an adult I should feed every 2 weeks, but if he goes two feedings without a poop I should then wait.
I might be mis-remembering at the moment.
I'm interested to hear what Allysen does.
BCA's are *much* smaller than BCC, so I think the difference in feeding frequency is not so shocking to imagine.
