    That's a pretty common response, though... but remember there are only four types of dangerous venomous snakes in the U.S.: Cottonmouths, Copperheads, Coral and Rattlesnakes. Everything else is just cuddly. :D

    well if you want to get into the subspecies, it is a southern black racer, Coluber constrictor priapus. the subspecies you gave is the northern black racer.

    Black racer. Ive been spotting them left and right up here in jacksonville.
