    Thanks for the feedback! :D
I will work on instructions this weekend (time permitting) and maybe someone could tell me how to bring it to the forum Mod's attention to be considered as a 'sticky' in the DIY section?

As for your suggestions regarding adding something for more grip, if you look at the pics you'll see that I used a sturdy plastic vine which I wrapped around both limbs and the top half of the trunk. This vine is attached to the pipe by large dollops of hot glue and is pretty secure. Monty definitely uses the vine for support, so it would be part of my instructions...which I welcome all to improve upon! :gj:

As for why Monty slipped off; well, it was the first time he used it and he was much smaller at the time so he couldn't quite wrap around the width of the pipe. I use the old pillows below as a safety net...and for my own peace-of-mind. ;)

The only issue I had with this project is that the PVC for the trunk and the PVC for the pipe joints seemed to be made of different grades or mixes of PVC (I'm no chemistry expert), so that when they were burned they darkened and crackled differently. You'll notice that the trunk is a lighter brown and less crackled. Oh well...

Before I started this project I was simply going to buy an artificial tree and save me the time. But once I priced out fake trees I realized that the PVC tree would be much, much cheaper...artificial trees run about $150 and up, and that's ON SALE!!! :O
Real trees would be cheaper, but heavy pots would make it difficult to move from room to room. Plus how would you clean a urate or poop?

Again thanks for the input, and I would love to hear even more input and suggestions! And when I have time (hopefully this weekend) I'll write-up some instructions.

Awesome Idea!! I plan on doing something like that for my boa when we move out and have more room. I was just gonna leave it white and plain but now I have to go all out like you did! I give my snakes a smaller version of that tree to climb on in their tub and they all seem to love it... good job!

I noticed the difference and thought it was intentional. It looks cool that way, defines the branches from the trunk.

I apologize for not yet having the instructions for the Chill Tree yet. Life doesn't always allow for free time, just as it has for me this last week. :(

Thanks for your patience with me, and I promise to work on some instructions just as soon as I am able to. Since I created my tree from only seeing someone else's photos, I have to try to recollect, step-by-step, just how I created the darn thing. Not an easy task at my age! :O
