Re: Question about feeding multiple mice
This is interesting, but I have to ask a further question here. How would a say 1500 to 2000 gram snake coil around a mouse to choke the bageebees out of it? Does there come a time when prey absolutely becomes to small for the snake to actually be able to kill?
Re: Question about feeding multiple mice
I feed my ball python adult mice because they are cheaper and easier to get. I can get 3 adult mice for $1.50 each while a small rat is $5. If my snake decides to only eats two one week then it is not a big deal. But if he decides to not eat the rat. It is a pain to remove from the tank and get rid of.
Like a lot of people have said, you have to do what works best for you and your snake. I feel more comfortable handling mice.

Its no problem. A 2000 gram snake kills mice quite easily! I have a 2000+ gram female that late last year decided she wanted mice instead of rats (she recently went back to rats). She would take as many as 4 or 5 adult mice in a feeding.
