Note to self: Incubator fans cause vibration. The larger the incubator the larger the fan the more vibration created.

Well I got my incubator all hooked up and started it up. That is when things turned bad. The fan in the incubator is causing enough vibration that it can be felt on the faces of the tubs in the rack. This is not acceptable! :tears: I tried all kinds of vibration dampening techniques with minimal to no effect. So now the incubator will be moved to the other side of the room and I have to design something else to go into its place. I am thinking of putting another 4 sweater box type rack in its place. I think I have enough room, but I will have to double check. If that doesn't fit I will put 8-10 baby tubs in or I might even look to see how many 15 qt tubs I can fit in the space. Moving the incubator really isn't that big of a deal since the whole room is supposed to turn into the snake room eventually and the origional plan called for racks all along the other wall. (1 ten high CB-70, 1 ten high sweater box, and a double side by side ten high of baby tubs) Oh well, we live and learn and are better for the things we discover.

Awesome job, I'm sure you'll figure the vibrating incubator situation out...*why did that sound so bad*

Did you try like, rubber feet? Or some kind of shock absorber?

I put a different type of fan in and the vibration stopped. Now I just have to figure out if this new fan will hold up to the humidity!
