I have also heard that most roll outs go bad but I have also heard of a few that hatch. My guess is it was a small mom and she just couldn't wrap herself around the eggs.

Jas - I was reading some where that when you candle them you can see the embryo. It looks like a ring(?) with viens going to it. Put a little pencil x where you see that and keep that X on top....
I think Tim Bailey wrote that in another post.......

Re: I need help!
I had a smaller girl do a roll out. She was self incubating, and I just kept putting the egg back with her. It ended up being a beautiful baby snake.
I've also had one that didn't make it.
Incubate it and see. :D

I'm going with 'some mothers are just crap'. Has she laid for you before without issue? Either that or she was REALLY pissed at you pimping her out.
Either way, candle those suckers and have a go if they're fertile.
Should be interesting. ;)

I don't have any experience, but BT mentioned on RR that a guy candled roll out eggs and the embryo wasn't where it should be so the guy would rotate the eggs so the embryo and blood vessels were together on top and they all hatched. It sounded like it made sense to me?

I did write that in another post, and have had very good luck with that approach. If memory serves me right, I have not had a roll out go bad that candled as fertile when it was laid.
JAS, let's see that pic now. Did she roll out the whole clutch? How many eggs was it? Did the eggs have any waxy, sticky coating on them? Where any of the eggs connected to each other (similar to how links of sausage are connected)?
