Re: Youtube
But then again, is there any reptile knowledge on Youtube that makes it to our standards?

He might not be the smartest guy, but his sure got more personal experience with reptiles than a lot of people, or me at least. He tries hard to make his videos as professional, helpful and entertaining as he can.
Plus, I have seen a lot of videos on Youtube about Ball Pythons, other than the mass overflow of really bad feeding videos shot with shaky cameras, most of them are of young kids, with little or no knowledge on Ball Pythons, trying to make care videos, which makes me more sad than angry. What I'm trying to say is, sure muffdaddy2 is not up to our standards here at BP.net, but for Youtube, he's not all that bad.
He's not all that bad? Are you kidding me?
Maybe if you lived in the same city or county and actually saw the ramifications of his "passion," you'd feel differently. I think Arlington County was going to ban venomous anyway, they just did it faster because he showed up at the hearing and made a bumbling idiot out of himself, as usual.
Then there was the incident when the venomous snakes were discovered in the motel room in Fairfax. The news talked with several herp hobbyists in town, and they said that he was such an idiot that they cut his interview out of the story- the reporters said there was no way they would air that on tv.
The fact that you think he's "not bad" tells me a lot about you. Anyone can repeat a few pieces of care information on camera, but it does not make them knowledgeable.
Oh, and I forgot...how about the fake "rescue" that he and his partner created so that they could get free animals for breeding stock?

I completely agree. He seems like a bumbling idiot to me and from what I've seen of his videos, he should not be allowed to have as many reptiles as he does, and especially not try to pass on his "knowledge" to the inexperienced. He may not be the worst I've seen on youtube, but he's definitely up there.
That's just my opinion though. I'm not trying to offend anyone :)

Re: Youtube
Looks like his account was suspended. My guess is it had something to do with his "Please click on the ads" graphic in one of the videos I saw. Big adsense/google/youtube no-no.

I've seen Ralph Davis on youtube, but not the other ones, and I'm excited to check them out. thank you
But in the thread about Ralph's "bare-bone setup" ( http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ht=ralph+davis ) he was criticized pretty badly for the setup. But his other videos about morphs and such, are a lot better.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of that guy, He acts kind of cocky, and is not very gentle when handling snakes. I know if I owned a professional Ball Python Breeding business, I wouldn't be posting amateur videos like that on Youtube.
