    I got mine at Walmart I think it was like 30.00-40.00 dollars.
    It is what they call 7 fin ( the slats that carry the oil and heat up ) I have mine hooked to a Ranco and I just set the knob on the heater all way on 6 and mine you can output 600,900 or 1500 watts. I have mine on 600 watts and it keeps my room w/ the rack set about 2-3 feet from the heater at the right temp.
    I just placed the probe from the Ranco right on the front edge of the rack and set it at 80 degrees w/ a 1 degree differential so when the temps in the room dip to 79 it cuts it on.
    It has worked great for the last 2 winters.
