    Do you have a thermostat? You dont want him to get a belly burn because it was too hot. Do you have a thermometer either? Knowing what your temps are is very important.

    The only way you will know for sure what your BP died of is by having a necropsy done.

    Since both were house together I would highly encourage you to first take your other BP to a vet and have it check and second to address the husbandry issues.

    This will help correct your husbandry.

    As already stated your temps are un-healthy for ball pythons and prolonged exposure to unhealthy temps increase the risk of RI (Respiratory Infection), which is fatal if left untreated.

    Also NEVER use pine or cedar, and avoid housing multiple snakes together in the future.

    And finally do not listen to the your local Reptile Rescue guy anymore.

    yeah im going to stick with news paper from now on..

    and i do have a thermostat..

    and a IR on also...

    ima keep an eye on my "big girl" from now on..

    and watch the temps a bit better
