Who's in the Military?

I'm in the Air Force, currently TDY in Texas until next week, then I get to go home for a month. Then I get to go on a remote tour for a year. I've been in for just over 2 years now.

What base in texas are you at? My reserve base is NAS JRB (Carswell).

Are you at Ellis?

My Heart is still in the Corps, they just don't own my butt anymore. I was in the USMC Reserves for 10.5 years, and did 2 tours in Afghanistan. If it weren't for my wife, I would have re-enlisted and be in Iraq right now.

My husband is in the Navy... Neither he nor I have anything positive to say about the experience besides there are some really interesting foreign ports to visit.

Well, that's because he joined the Navy. I like being in the Air Force, but most of the time there's a lot of BS to put up with, that's not worth it. I will not re-enlist, but for the time being, I like the brotherhood. Kinda like an exclusive club.

Well, my husband has the bad habit of 'doing now thinking later' and that's what he did with the navy. He's not reinlisting, in fact, many people on his ship aren't. Many many UA's at this command and I believe it's primarily because of the ship. In any case I've got two countdowns going. When he gets back from deployment and when he gets out. That'll be a grand grand day.

I was in the army from 2001-2006 and did 12mo in Iraq.

I was in the Army got out last June. I was stationed at Ft Lewis. 2nd Infantry. Gotta luv it. lol.
