Female going wild!!!!

Heck our female bumblebee doesn't even need to have a male put in her cage for her to go on a mad furniture rearranging spree. I think she takes after my wife. :oops: Granted of course this is the same snake that will not strike a mouse unless you put a red spot light on it to lead her to it. I thought snakes couldn't see red light, but as soon as we turn our red flashlight on the dang rodent she is ready to put on a show, otherwise she doesn't seem to be interested in it. :confused:

I've had it happen.

Most of the time, the female is just not receptive at that particular moment, but given a couple of hours, things change :)

LOL I usedmy infrared temps gun in a females cage and she went friggin psycho on me, still got a lil scar from that one. she didnt calm down for weeks.

Hey guys this is a random question, but I was told that if I had a normal male ball python that was het. for any morph and I bred it to a normal female that the babys would come out het. but none of them would come out being a morph. Is this true?

Yes...

The babies would all be possible het, so there is a 50% chance for each animal to carry the recessive gene.

Damn!!! The other day I was looking on NERD and I saw they were selling het. males for $100 shipped each and I got all excited because I wanted to breed them to my normal females. Oh but I heard that if the female is the one thats a het. and the male is a normal the babies will come out being morphs. Is that true or does the same thing happen as with the male being the het. and the female being normal?

Same thing...

To make morphs, you have to have two hets of the same trait to make it visual.

I just had a female do that last week when I put a male in, it freaked me out to the point I pulled her out and made sure she was really a she. The only time I has seen that kind of a reaction was when my daugter had accidentally put 2 males together. Everything checked out so I put them back together and they were locked that evening. I just chalked it up to her being upset from me cleaning her tub beforehand ...
