oh dear... sweet j please help!!!

I'm half waiting for a response from JAS - which for some reason I half expect to involve you running around the house in comando gear with minimum pellet gun, possibly a shot gun.

Don't lose sight of it! If you saw it go under a chair, chances are it is still there unless you have holes in your floorboards. Block off the room it's in with something high enough for it not to be able to jump over (I used a big dry-erase board once.) Then just have at it with some thick gloves. Any hesitation when grabbing for it will only lead to it getting away.
I have always caught escapees within minutes of getting out. It took some FAST acting on my part in our Very cluttered laundry room. I never used gloves, but ASFs bother me in their potential overaggressiveness..

i got him! he ran across the living room floor just now and scared the crap out of my wife. this one is going to cost me.... :8:
