But come on...Would you let your kids out side while you KNEW there was a threat to thier well being.

As for that picture, is it alright to be holding your infant child while feeding a crocodile...just to put on a show? NO, it's not. Regardless of who it is....

there was no benefit of posting the photo.. if you want to make your point do so but it really isnt nessesary imo to have posted steves photo. The photo of MJ isnt flattering either but i wont go there.. visuals IMO werent nessesary

Well, you accomplished what you said you were not trying to do: Badmouth Steve Irwin. You are looking through a very ignorant (uneducated) and ethnocultural lens when you judge Steve Irwin and presuppose that you know what he should have done with his son and his life (what you called his show).
As for letting children outside while there is a threat to their well-being... all of us do this all of the time. People who live in a city or neighborhood expose their children to being run over by a car. Ever let your kid run into the store for you, or wait in the library for you, or hang at the house til you got home? In this country, that it a big risk. What do you feed your kids? I hope it is 100% organic or else you are putting them at risk. Send your kids to public school? Risk risk risk: shooters, bullying, crazy teachers. Send your kid to a hospital? Wow, mega-germs; you'll come out sick.
So, get it? Danger lurks everywhere because life lurks everywhere. Teach your children. Evidently the Aussie family in the news story did~ their kids weren't eaten, just the dog. Oh well, that happens, that's life.

at the end of the day, the snake was doing what was necessary to survive and the family is at fault for KNOWINGLY allowing it DAYS to stalk their dog. However... the snake is made out to be evil.... what the heck has happened to this world?

I have to agree, leave Steve out of this...but then, I am kind of knee jerk protective of Steve-O's memory. Say what you will about the guy, fact of the matter is the he did more for herps and wildlife than any of us could ever hope to accomplish. And I firmly believe he would have thrown himself into that croc's jaws before he let it hurt his son.

That said, would I feed a huge croc while holding my daughter? No. But then again I wouldn't be feeding one by myself, either.

im not on either side of this debate over the irwin photo but i do have an opinion on the post about kids at risk!
If you are saying kids playing around a strange 16ft. python is the same thing as kids going to a public school then you have no business saying someone else is ignorant. Thats one of the dumbest analogies I ever heard!
I agree there is certain risk in everything we do but the level of risk is not even close being the same.....
