Use rosemary oil. The purest is best.
Rub a small amount on your carotid and on your temples. It will make you sleepy, and you'll go to sleep for approx two hours. Then you will wake up hungry, without the pain.
YOu have to be able to go sleep for a couple hours, but when you get the ones that will otherwise last days, it's a great thing. It's never failed me so far using the concentrated rosemary oil.

At worst, you smell like roasted chicken.

I get them badly on occasion, when I was little, I went to the emergency room, or something like that, and they gave me a shot, and it was instant relief. Lets say I couldn't walk, and just talking hurt me badly, as well as talking. Don't drink ANYTHING with a red dye. Mix gatorade(NO RED) or propel with alot of water, and drink it all. Helps bunches! Make sure the gatorade is watered down very well, doesn't have to be so much with the Propel. It helps for sure!

ARG!!!! I had to leave work early last night because of a migraine...I get them sooo bad that I vomit from the pain. I keep hydrated. I tried caffeine, pain pills, exedrin migraine....nothing worked but going to sleep.

I am the same way as ZEKESMOM. When I get a migrane theres no getting rid of it and I will often get sick. I have a perscription for the severe migranes that thins my blood and it cost about $120 for 6 pills. The meds basically knock me right out but on those nights when Ive considered bonking myself in the head with a hammer so I can pass out and not be in pain anymore, well I'll take the medication.

On the rare occasion I get a mild migrane, a heating pad on my neck, a dark room and a gravol to put me to sleep does it. I wish I knew of more natural ways to deal with them myself.

I have tried several px's and I can't handle them, the side effects for me have been worse than the pain. I switched over to 2400mg ibuprofin tablets - take two at a time or as a substitute 3 Advil migraine liqui-gels..

Figured I'd see if there were any natural remedies out there that actually work.

Maybe I'll give the rosemary oil a shot again, I know I'd tried it before :)

I read in one of those home remedy books that there is a pressure point on your upper lip that can relieve head pains. Just pinch your you upper lip like you would be pinching your nose to stop smelling something stinky; in 10 second increments until you feel some relief.

Sounds weird but its definitely helped me to stop migraines early on when they're about to get bad.
