    I cant see the pics because I dont have a myspace account but when my little guy got mouth rot it looked brown so I thought it was nothing. After the brown flakiness spread from under his eyes to around his chin I I used a q tip to open his mouth and look for an redness or other abnormalties. He had red spots in his mouth so I took him to the vet and he did have mouth rot. My baby was only 78 grams at this time and he was perscribed 15 shots over a period of one month (sorry i dont know the name of the actual meds) and everything cleared up in about a week. His shots are done soon and he is eating like a champ and putting on weight.

    hang on while I try something;

    Click here for picture.

    Yep - posting the link you get when looking at the image properties via a right mouse click gives you a working link - but since that is hotlinking we have to change those to links instead.

    But yeah, that does look like some kind of damage though a closer pic would be the best way to get a better idea. Do you feed live or F/T (just to be able to rule out rat bite etc) ?

    You could upload it to your gallery here too remember. :)

    Well i have been feeding f/t he has only ate twice so far. sorry for going on to another subject but the pet store i got him from told me to feed him the lil pinky frozen ones so i got some of them and once i got on here alot of people said he should be eating alot bigger mice sorry im just frustrated with that pet store!
    but its not a rat bite i was thinking that maybe he rubbed it on the new tree thing i put in there he is always under it now i guess he likes being under that than in his hide box but maybe he rubbed to hard on that.

    Hi,

    I think you still need to be a member of myspace to see those - it only means you don't have to be on their friends list.

    I went and found the stickies on how to upload your picture on here - and you can use places like image shack and photo bucket of course.

    Sticky one.

    Sticky two.

    As for taking him to the vet... A snake bag and one of those instant warmers (that you put into a sock) work great! Ya know, the pocket warmer things? They come in various hour lengths and I put one into a tube sock so the snake can't be burnt by it and then throw the sock in the sack and place the snake in there too! You can then place the whole kit into a very small styrofoam cooler.
    Hope this helps!

    As far as I know bp's do not soak unless something is wrong like mites or humidity so it is not a bad thing he isn't hanging out in there.

    Could it just be blood from his last meal? He is in shed, so I would wait the 1-2 days to see if it comes out with the shed. If it is still there after it take it to the vet

    It's a snake scab.

    Snake scabs are yellow/brown. It is an injury, and it will pass within the next couple of sheds.

    Make sure to watch it carefully, and if it doesn't pass in a month or so, take him to the vet again.
