it sounds to me like a mite bite are they kinda like a red bump about the size of this @

Not bumps. It's really smooth like his scales. Hardly noticeable. But I'm wondering if it has anything to do with it. He'll be taken to a vet in the morning hopefully and I'm gonna treat and clean his tank. Hopefully that helps?

Mites suck blood, so it is probably blood if you pulled the mite off, OR it could be a tick.
