Re: My first post. Heres my Pythons
the "availability" of chicks is subjective, for a chicken farmer or hick, chicks NO PROB, middle of toronto? good luck :)
Re: My first post. Heres my Pythons
Ive never had a feeding issue with them.
Your right though, the excretment is a bit runnier. I dont think theyre as good as rodents as far as protein goes but as I say, it was only a last resort.
Thanks everyone:D

Hey, thanks for getting back with that info...good to know! :snake:
Re: My first post. Heres my Pythons
That's a pretty cool shot of the BP eating a chick. I've never seen that before. Have you ever had either one imprint on chicks?
Re: My first post. Heres my Pythons
They are both late 06 - early 07 hatchlings.
Theres a male and a female. I had the female probed and the male was sold to me from a reputable seller.
Ive only ever fed chicks twice and Ive had no problems with them. They occasionly switch between rats and jumbo mice depending what I have in the freezer.
Re: My first post. Heres my Pythons
and your keeping a male/female pair together???
Re: My first post. Heres my Pythons
Well, yeah.
I know its a bit of an argument on here as far as keeping snakes together. But there are so many different care sheets and books that tell you so many different things, the same with books on tortoise diet. So I think you just have to do what suits you, and ive had no problems with it.
