check your local laws, as always :)

I believe that to sell on KS you need to either have a license OR be operating under your own name. Something to consider if you want to advertise there.

    Re: how did you...
You are all so lucky! I don't just have to come up with a name, but have to come up with a name that fits well as a domain name, is in english and can be pronounced so that a person who doesn't speak english can understand how it is written by the pronounciation. ARGH! :taz:

RogueStar Reptiles would be a good one, but... Star is easy but the word "Rogue"... Oh the mother of all evil words... ;)

    Re: how did you...
I don't have a breeding business per se. It is a hobby to me.. and if I sell some of the offspring that I produce, that is great. But I am not registered as a business oficially. "Ginevive" is a nickname that I have had/used online for awhile. I had a bunch of names thought-up, but really, any reputation that I have online is attached to "Ginevive" and so I decided to use it as my handle as well. Any ads that I post will of course have my legal name, as I don't want to be thought of as shady or anonymous.. I have the domain name ginevive.com (I consider myself lucky to have gotten it!) I know that my site says Toadwood, but that is in general the "farm name" that I use for where we live and my other animal "ventures", and eventually once we own a farm, that'll be the name. But I can't edit my website because my editor was on the computer that we rebooted.. gotta DL it again!
Lady Dragon Ball Pythons sounds cool to me! :)
Wow, sorry that I rambled so much here.
Thinking up biz names is hassling, but fun too. My husband's construction company is called House MD; a play on a popular TV show, and also pretty accurate. His former property management company was PMS! (Prop. Mngmnt Srvcs.) I still wear that jacket with "PMS" emblazoned on it and I get alot of funny looks!

My soon to be breeding business is Ballistic Pythons Just kinda rolls off the tongue well lol and my Alarm company is JLV Systems (logo is on the website). J for my son Joey L for my daughter Lili and V for our last name. Every state is different for the requirements to register a business name in NH it's nice and easy 50 bucks and you are the proud owner of a company Live free or Die! :gj:

Well, I would LOVE to use my last name and be Abernethy Reptiles (and now you can see why I'm rabernet), the problem is - no one will spell my last name correctly to find me. So, I'm stuck. I've thought of Royals by Robin, or Robin's Royals and have a logo similar to Rolls Royce, but since most people in the States don't call ball pythons royals, so I'm still stuck. I'm creatively challenged. Then someone will come up with a business name and I'll go - damn! that's a great name, why didn't I think of it first????

we dont have a registered business and were awhile out before we can say were "operating" as a company but my husband came up with DNA Reptiles, for Darren and Ashley as well as DNA since were working with morphs. It seems easy enough to remember and say. I own my domain name ABCaptures (ashley b captures, for photography) so it wont be long before we purchase the domain for DNA Reptiles too. weve already started a myspace and aol account so no one can snag the name, we figure by the time we get some babies hatching the name will be familiar. :gj:

I chose Royal Q Pythons, LLC.

The royal python part is obvious and the Q is for my last name....

I wanted "screwball pythons" with some kind of baseball in the logo but I figured nobody would take that seriously...lol

I have a computer consulting business not a reptile related one. I just used my initials "pc" and services to get some an idea of what it is all about if they heard the name. "BD PC Services" doesn't get much more generic and simplistic than that.

Now if I were get into reptiles as a business I'd want something more eye catching. But that might take forever since it took me almost 3 weeks to come up with BD PC Services. Sad I know.

This worries me too. Even my own mom mis-spells my email address (Ginevive)! This is why yes.. if/when I do get into this more and breed larger-scale. I just plan on using my legal first/last name. Kind of like Bob Clark or Graziani Reptiles.. but of course not as grand!

Regardless of what people call ball pythons in the states, I love the Royals by Robin idea (with the logo). It sounds so catchy.
