I believe she has been with the zoo for a small amount of time.
I think it's great she is there. If one non-herper walks in and see's her and finds a new respect or love for her then its work well done in my book.

What bothers me about that article is that it only refers to Fluffy as a python. The only indication of what kind of python he may be is at the end with a statement about the largest reticulated python. This leads the reader to deduce that Fluffy is also a reticulated python. Non-herpers could easily read that article and infer that any "python" can grow to 24 feet. Now they might be thinking that ball pythons and children pythons can get that big and eat pigs and possibly "human victims". It's people like this that have said to me "I can't believe you have a python in the house living with your children". I only have ball pythons. Just my 2 cents.

I think its great she is at the zoo, now everybody can see her and she is in a very large enclosure (I dont know what Bob Clark had her in) and now everybody can see the majesty of such a large snake up close. One thing i noticed was that the article said she gets 2 10 lb rabbits a week, isnt that way to much for a snake that size and they are just making her fat and shortening her life?

i agree they did have a little lack of information on the article:colbert: but i in my opinon i think that this might even make more people come to herping? i'm not sure so don't quote me on this:snake:

Here's what you're looking for. I overlooked it at first also.
The zoo paid $35,000 to the snake's breeder in Oklahoma to keep the reticulated python on permanent display. While on loan last year, the python helped draw 1.53 million visitors, just under the zoo's attendance record of 1.56 million set in 2006, said Pete Fingerhut, the zoo's associate director.
