I don't have any pics of him, but the "ringer" portion of him looks EXACTLY like the second pic on the NERD site.

I mean, if I had reason to believe that I had a +70% chance of him being het pied I would jump on it, however without that I really just don't see him fitting into my plans.

    Dude

The fact that ringers have been known to show up when pied or 100% het pied breeding are involved would be reason enough for me to grab it.

Here in South Africa the 2008 hatchling BP morphs are just starting to become available from breeders here. This is pic below was posted on a forum here today. It is a 100% Het Pied male, and it has the ringer markings

If it does not prove out then at least you'd have a cool animal in your collection....... but..... what if it does prove out ? ;)

I hatched out a pastel male with a very pronounced ringer this year, and I know of a breeder working with cinnies that have genetic ringers in Ontario. I assume that with the cinnies it is tied to that particular cinnie rather than being part of all cinnies (or independent of them).

Looks pretty amazing on a super cinnie to see a pure white line in the dark pattern.

I doubt it is indicitive of any morph... and it would take a long time to prove that out. But you never know, the ringer itself could prove genetic.

I'd buy it for the coolness factor, if I liked it...but not for any intentions beyond having a normal snake in the breeding pool.

yes the ringer has been proven, my bud over at pets plus in lockport ny his name is fred kick. he proved it out he has many ringer balls, from yellowbellies to spiders. so it is genetic but not all strands are, i bred a jungle pastel male to a normale female and got a baby normale with this ringer thing above his cloaka and i talked to my bud fred and said that it may be genetic but also could be nothing. im not sure but arent the snakes petco gets usually farm bred in africa or wild cought. sometimes you get something special, something bizzar could be hiding in that liitle guy and again could be nothing. and het pieds are sometimes known for it but not always my bud has a pair of het pieds and they dont have any ringer marks and they are proven 3 times already. but 2 of the baby hets he produced have the ringer marker. ok well hope that helps good luck

Ringers are just a random trait, most morphs have them pop up every now and then and is totally random. My friend has a pastel with a really nice ringer that gos around the entire part of its body of where its at. To top it off he is a 25% het for pied( Or some sort of low %) We are wondering if its worth trying to prove out.
