I agree it's certainly too small! They'll be moved into a bin as well, and I have no idea what I'll do with that cage, maybe put a pet in it, possibly a hairless (I love hairless!). But the wheel is dangerous? I thought that the solid wheels were safer than the wire ones? If its dangerous I'll certainly take it out, not that I ever see Daddy rat actually using it.

It must be in the air...my mouse colony is taking off as well...2 momma's with litters on the ground, another one probably gonna pop later this week and another in maybe a week or so.

I have 2 mousers (corn and bp) and my bp only seems to like live albino mice, so I'm catering to them. =)
