Yep, I do need to buy that book..it sounds very cool.
Well, fortunately, even though her last owner fed her live, she has eaten twice for me f/t with no problem so long as I turn out the lights, close the door, and wait 1/2 hour before checking in. That seems to be her thing, she needs the dark and quiet. My other 07 BP Meerah will eat while you watch..she has no fear whatsoever.
I am really glad that this girl is doing better. She has started thermoregulating throughout the day and night. She uses both her hides well, which is great.
I am learning a lot about behavior of balls by observing her so far, since it appears that my other BP is not the norm behavior-wise (in that she'll practically ask to be taken out and has no fear). They are really polar opposites and it is very interesting to me to see this.
This is truly a learning experience for me, but so far it has been rewarding to try to get her healthy and happy. I sure don't mind a bit of hissing or attitude if it means she's working right!
