Thats quite an abrasive question, IMO its no different than people spending hundreds of dollars on morph snakes, or a hundred thousand on fancy cars... I think its all in what YOU like, and if thats the case and your have the money then price isnt an issue... you get what you want, most people would choke if they knew I spent $100 on a camera bag to protect my $1,000 investment... as i said before its no different than people spending a couple thousand dollars on a rack system for their collection of snakes, however, to answer your question

Yes I know it was worth it.. Most people cant validate spending ($1,000+ which is what i have into my camera and equipment) that on a camera but because I was dumping $80 everytime i wanted a family portrait taken, and I was almost never pleased with the results i got, frustration, half smiles, teary eyes, exc. This way I have the camera at my disposal, I can take thousands of photos, day to day, exc and have exactly what I want.

I love my camera and have spent a long time learning every aspect of it too, I shoot everything in manual and consider that a hobby even. I know its not for everyone but I love it..so long story short, yes i do think it was worth every penny and wouldnt hesistate to buy another one if anything happens to mine.

Flo0d, I got HER from a breeder that is local to me. my feeders, beardeds, cresteds, pastel ball and spider ball all came from the same guy.. hes very local to me so in that way weve been very fortunate

Its true, I love photography, though its still hard to spend that much on one. I did spend $200 on my SLR but its fairly old, I'l like to get a digital one. that camera was one of the ones I was actually looking into after my tax return XD
