does it have one probe or two if you dont mind me asking???

i been looking for a good one with 2 probes to get the unit out of the cage

In order to properly measure humidity, some sort of unit has to be in the cage. I don't know of any thermometer that has two probes, since no one really wants to measure two outdoor temps. :)
However, the way I do it is to mount the acurite unit low on the middle back of the enclosure (mounting prevents knock-overs). The probe is placed under the warm side hide, the 'indoor' temp is the ambient air, and I use an out-of-cage acurite single reading unit with the probe under the cool hide for that temp.

It doesn't have to be in the cage indefinitely once you get the humidity dialed in or at least have a good idea of where it is at on any given day....or use it in there from time to time.;)

I bought mine at Zellers, although they are sold with a different brand name, it is the same thing.

One temp/humidity reader I would not recommend is the "Flukers Digital Thermometer/Humidity Guage." I tested it beside 2 AcuRites and the temp was just fine, but the humidity was off by 8-10% (too high). It ticked me off royal.

We use accurite and have had no problems. We also have a temp gun to double check all of our belly heat occasionally. It's nice to have a back up temp reader like that.

As for humidity, the accurites have always been spot on, and our flukers (that is posted to the side of the bed post) is usually within a few degrees of ones we have hanging out around the room, we do not use it for the tubs permanently.

Check, double check, and your good to go! ;)
