Re: Question to people who use tubs....
The gradient is Heat on one end, no heat on the other :)

Temps stay fairly regular on either end as they are mostly enclosed.

Room should stay a regular temp as well, to keep the gradient up to snuff

    Watch you animals !
I use hides with hatchlings and only use hides for a few adults that seem to eat better with a hide. Most people with racks heat one side and the other stays close to there needed cool side temp. I heat my room to 75-80 degrees so the cool side is at or slightly above ambient and the warm side at 85-90 . I would recommend taking some temps with a heat gun to be sure. Good luck...........Bryan

Personally i do give my smaller snakes hides in the rack since it is a 32qt and it is a lil big, so they get two hides. My larger snakes do not have hides, if i put them in there they just toss them around and never use them.

In my racks I provide a hide only for the smaller guys and gals. The bigger ones seem to like no hides and i find them all over depending on the day, even time of day. I tried hides for the big ones and they would push them in the corner and sit next to them almost always. I provide flexwatt in the back to 90 and the room is at 80-82 degrees
