    Kiln dried, it is ok to use. No cedar-ever.

    I started using the Equine Pine brand, and it is stellar. I do not have any odor problems.. I too toss in a sock for bedding purposes! I tried using a smaller pile of aspen shreddings, but it just got dispersed with the rest of the bedding. Now each rat gets a sock to chew/sleep on.. and it is working great. Very economical as well, and much easier on the environment than wood shavings.
