    Hey! Welcome aboard!

To answer the question about BPOM and HOTM...the pictures need to be of animals that you personally own. (Well, or are members of your personal household...nothing wrong with entering a picture of your spouse's pet gecko or whatever!) The point of the contests is to celebrate the awesome pets of our members. ;)

The exception would be in POTM (Photo of the Month) in which the theme often dictates something different.

I have spent aprox the last 3 years at another site that I help moderate, but here lately it has taken a serious nose dive. I refuse to talk bad about the site or the people there because I am still real good friends with alot of them.... but if things dont get under control... I feel that I must find a new home.

Not only am I passionate about herps but I am also passionate about photography. I noticed that you'll have a couple of monthly photo contest and I have a question about them. I read the thread reguarding posting in the contest... and for HOTM and POTM does it HAVE to be one of my pets or can it be any herp shot?.... I have several nice photos of wild herps along with photos that I took of some of my friends herps.

anyhow.... I guess I will see you around.

Welcome to the forum , I havent been here all that long myself either, I jumped from another forum from the same issues. But I have been here long enough to know this BP forum in my opinion is the best out there bar-none. This place is filled with great great people with tons of knowledge and Ive really enjoyed the time that Ive been here!:gj:
