They look nice! I think the waterproof/ acrylic is a good idea if you cant afford or want a radiant heat panel.:gj:

Plexiglass would be a good option, but you can see the flexwatt through it and kinda expensive(depending on supplier)....

Lowes has some...I would get the thinnest(cheaper) one they have.

I was referring to linoleum flooring...sorry. The ones that are sold in squares. Pretty cheap...a dollar or two each..

Let us know when your done. Pics would be a good:P

So I finally got around to getting the new set up completed and the snakes moved in.

I went with the plexi over the flex and angled it away from the cords and then siliconed everything.

And here is the final product.

Thanks to all for the suggestions and for just looking.

Wow!! That looks very very nice. I am extremely impressed. Your bps are living the good life. ;)

My only concern, is that it looks like you have aluminum tape covering up the hole in one of the vivs where the cords run through? I might try cutting a piece of wood or pegboard to cover it up. My concern would be the tape possibly starting to come undone and then getting stuck to your snake. Other than very awesome job.

Looks like your ambient temps are 72.. I would bump that up to at least 80 if you don't want to have a vet visit soon.

Re: Placing Flex watt in a new set up?
the ambients are the hardest thing for me to keep up as the cage is in my school classroom and the temps fluctuate ridiculously. I'm still working on keeping them up without getting the hot spot to a crazy temp. I'm going to try to rig a heat source up along the back to help raise the ambients up some.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
