    Bp's don't need very much air, they need fresh air yes, but they can do just fine with 3/4 of the top of the tank taped down and covered. There is a great sticky in the husbandry section that should apply to small 10 gallon tanks as well. I suggest reading it. If you ever get the chance to check out any slide in rack system (not the hanging kind) often times the only gap for air is 1/4" - 1/2" from the tub to the shelf above it. All my snakes are like this and are fine.

    You can make the water bowl small. They need maybe a cup of water when young. They don't need the option to soak, just misting and keeping the humidity at 60-65% will suffice. You can use old plastic cups for hides for a while.

    Get creative. I know one person on here actually made a hide/water dish. It had the same footprint as the hide, but the water dish was affixed securely to the top of the hide, and on the cool side. It was a great idea, and something I would like to do in the future for a display cage.
