haha I actually JUST JUST JUST put a new hide in my 1400+g Yellow Bellys tub. I used to have this half log thing but it was to tall for the 32qt tub I just put him in. So I use a 3.1qt tuperware bowl. Sterilite im pretty sure makes it. I just melt a whole big enough to fit his body through and be just coils up and does the rest. I had a question though... He almost hardly ever uses his hides and its been increasingly harder to find a hide he can fit into, that I can fit two of, in his 32qt world. Any suggestions?

Only three of my bigger snakes use hides and they love the kitty litter pans from walmart, just solder a hole for them on the bottom of the pan. Not even $2 bucks each.:gj:

Is it a deep rack or a sideways rack. If its deep i would say loose the hides all together maybe he just doesnt want one. Sometimes i try and offer hides and noone uses them so i dont even bother as long as they are eating and growing healthy.:gj:

Kitty Liter pan seems to big, mine are like 4-5 inches deep. They are the most average looking 32qts out there by sterilite.

I have 32qt sterilite bin racks, and these kitty litter pans fit pretty good. They even have enough room to sit on top of the litter pan. If you go to walmart and look at the cheapest kitty litter pans they have you will see what i mean.

Mine are 6 " deep and it still works quite well.

i have large snakes that want hides but i found out that they even use ones that are way too small for them and they are just happy coiled up with the hide sitting on top of them. even when their body is stickin half out

Ive got quite a few that do that, they seem to love the hides that are way to small.

I don't use hides in my racks. For those that are constantly digging up the newspaper to hide underneath, I'll throw in an extra crumpled up sheet of newspaper so they don't have to dig to the bottom of the entire pile (though a lot of them do it anyway)
