    I think that it's definitely worth it. It would be a breeze and very cheap to build a rack that only held a couple of snakes. There are tons of plans freely available, just modify them for your needs.

    there is stuff how to wire flexwatt how to build cages, racks for snakes, racks for rodents, so much info its overwhelming!

    And defintily no to a side of water tell your dad it is a breeding ground for bacteria, but it would look cool with a different creature. And good choice on switching over. I started off with a glass tank for my corn i hated it. 7 snakes later they are all in tubs. So easy to clean. I have built two racks and it is incredibly easy to do. And for cleaning... Just pour out aspen or newspaper put some new stuff in and your done cleaning. To clean all 8 snakes cages it takes me less than 20 mins a week thats including washing the water bowls. Can you beat that, i don't think so.
