I would ditch the lamp in place of a UTH. The lamp can cause humidity issues by drying out the air. Plus its thought that belly heat is better for corns (though this is debatable). Get a UTH and a rheostat to control the temp and you'll be good to go. Get an accurite thermometer like others have said and place the probe in the cage on top of where the UTH is and adjust the rheostat to get the temps ~82. You'll be all set!

Other than that his set up looks great!

it has a lamp on a 12 hour timer and UTH on 24/7.... it might be to cold though the air temperature is 73 but it has the UTH so im not really sure. i was thinking about getting two heat lamps, one white light one and one night light one and running both in the day and just night light at night. the humidity is 50%

alright its been about 5 days since his last feed so i was thinking about taking the pinkie out of the freezer and giving it to him in about 1 to 2 hours before i go to bed (provided that he eats it).. is it a good time to try feeding him? this would be the first snake feeding for me so hopefully he will go with it :please:

also once you thaw a pinkie can you re-freeze it?

because i can't edit my last posts, i will make yet another one.. i went to check up on the UTH and it is really hot... it feels fine through the substrate but if you push it aside its hella hot. im worried that he will burn himself on it. can you please give me some more information on the rheostat and whatnot?

    Hi,

Yes I think there is a limit of about 5-10 minutes where you can edit your posts.

What are you asking about the thermostats and dimmers? Have you tried the search function?

First about the pinky, I would wait a full week before feeding him. But you could try. Some say that you can thaw a pinky and re-freeze it once. I personally don't do this. If I thaw one and they don't eat, then I throw it away.

As for the UTH, do you have a thermometer with a probe? If not get one ASAP and put the probe on top of the UTH in the cage and check the temps. From there, adjust the rheostat until you get the desired temperature.

i unstuck the UTH and theres now a gap of about 1/8 of an inch between it and the glass so now thats perfect... i went ahead and fed him last night and he struck about 5 seconds after setting the pinkie in the cage im so proud haha  yeah from now on im going to feed in a different container but for this first one i didnt want him to get stressed
