Re: What did you do today?
Got home from a late nite at work, fed and watered the cats and rats. Fed the horses, and couldn't sleep until 11:30. Got up just in time to feed the cats and horses before heading back to work.
I've had to get a part time job, so 2 weeks a month I work six nights a week and the other I work all seven. Once I get home in the a.m. I have to do chores and then try to catch some zzz's before getting to my second job by 1500.
Still need to do Christmas decorations, and tomorrow night (early Monday morning) after I get home from work is feeding day for the snakes. Then off to mail some packages and (hopefully) sleep before work Monday night.
Re: What did you do today?
on sundays i volunteer at the zoo's wildlife rehab center, but today i had a trainer class at the center. then i stayed after to feed and spend time with the red shoulder hawk i'm training to train:D. he was brought to us and kept as an educational animal because he's blind, and fell off his perch a week ago and broke his leg so i spent some time with him (if you talk to him he talks back, soooooo cute). i also checked in on the alligator that some one released with duct tape around its mouth, the bobcat that was hit by a car a week ago, and the two baby screech owls. every one else was fed except the hawk. today was the first time i herd the gator hiss which was actually very cool, he's only about 1 1/2' - 2' long and it sounded like a mountain lion hissed at me. i'm glad he hissed he needs to keep that fear of humans in hopes to release him. i don't have my rabies shots so i can only care for the reptiles and birds, but i'll have my shots by the fall when my zas classes start.
