I don't plan on shipping anything anywhere I live in the middle of no where so I bought some of those heat packs in case the power goes out this winter. Does anyone have a picture of how the shipping boxes are set up? Or some other method of keeping the snake warm in an emergency with the heat pack?

If you use heat packs specifically designed for shipping animals, you should be fine and not have to worry about burning the animal. I always wrap the heat packs in several layers of newspaper so that there is no direct contact between the heat pack and the bag/deli cup.

And I won't feed before shipping, but I definitely don't not let them have water before shipping. Maybe others do it differently, but I always have water available up to the moment they go into the box.

typically, how many heat packs are used and what time length heat packs? do you use two of the same hour range, ie. two 20 hour ones, or 1 20 hour and 1 30 hour for different peak times?
