Really depends on the BP, some shy BP can be intimidated by larger preys, the only way to know is to try.

If your BP has a strong feeding response it should not be a problem.

if your hesitant then try rat weanling's first it's the next size down from a small and about 1/2 inch smaller. If she takes it then go with those for a few weeks and the try the small.
