    way ahead of you i use a ziplock bag and fill it with co2 does the trick nicely

    Yes it can, but if he is still hungry and striking he could just as well harm himself whacking the cage. I agree lil larger next time, i feed large enough rhat my snakes are out for at least one day usually two.
