I've had my yearling blood for approx. 4 months now and he hasn't "gone" for me yet either. Like your situation, I can also feel some "crunchiness" near the last 1/4 end of him. I've been soaking him daily (except feeding day and a few days after that) for the past week in hopes of trying to help him out.

Our female blood is a little over a year old and she only defecates about every month and a half to 2 months but GOOD GOD is it nasty. I agree too with the soaking trick-should loosen her up. Good luck!!!

I agree with Pat. I soak mine in warm water too. I might not wait for two days though. I'd give him a day. Usually when mine get fat near their tail, it's comin' out in the next 24-48 hours.

I also put nice warm water in their bowls, my mama likes to use the water bowls. Water in general helps them defecate easier. It smells horrible when I come home... but whatever makes her life easier ;)

Also make sure she has plenty of fresh water to drink. Dehydration can cause an aminal to have trouble doing #2.
