Those are some handsome boas, guys!
I've found that my BCC boas are very 'clingy' too.. especially my youngest one. If you're not used to it, it can be kind of scary when they whip their head around trying to find something to wrap around.

Both of the boa's I showed pictures of are Colombian boas. The one trying to get to the Xmas tree is a mature female who is now around 8 feet long and in her forever home in Texas with Becky (SatanicIntention). The one in the bathroom is an 05 male who came to use from Lynn (LadyWhipple).
Cass, I just got a new camera so hopefully new pics of everyone shortly. Sev is getting a nice size on him though we are conservative in our feeding program so he's gaining nice and slow and steady.
I second that whipping their head around April. We've had boa's grab the fridge door as we went by, sweep stuff off tables, almost smack their fool heads into things. You have to be really aware as you move around with one of these beauties....they are very quick when they decide to investigate something.
Sev's funny because to date he's never met a person he didn't consider very interesting. He thinks nothing of immediately checking out any visitors so we have to watch for those a bit afraid of snakes. Sev suddenly stretching out to go "visit" with them can be a bit intimidating if they aren't used to snakes LOL.

Joanna, that nap picture is great! Now what is the difference between BCC and uh...I think it was BCIs? Is it just the area they come from or is there a size/temperment difference?

All of the boa pictures posted in this thread so far as BCI...for comparision, here is a picture of my Suriname BCC. Note the slightly brighter red/light background color and the pointed widow's peaks on her saddles:

Having said that, BCI like Jo' Severus can very light and "clean" (little no to "speckling") and may keep that coloration into adulthood...
Boas are fun to discover and learn about, hehe...=)

Oh yeah, both Julinar and Diva have smacked their heads into walls before while having a 'gotta grab someting' spaz-attack. Their heads kind of make a splat sound when they hit stuff.. kinda disconcerting.
