to the petcare person that is what i have applied 4 and will know whether they decided to hire me or not. i know i won't make much of a difference in the care of the pets but the ball python that has been sitting there for a few months will probably be bought by me. and i don't think they'll get them again anytime soon i'm the only one who bought a ball python from them and he is doing well

Well, good luck and try to have fun. I actually left a job where I was a trainer and very much liked to take a job at Petsmart because I had always wanted to work there... little did I know. Whereas there are quite a few good stores with knowledgeable and caring managers out there, there are just as many if not more where they still follow ancient policies and care for nothing but making a buck. No matter how much you try to make life better for customer or animal, they 'discipline' you against it cause you aren't following company policy.

So, just be aware of that, and I hope you get in with one of the good stores! Oh, and NEVER ask for that little!! That's exactly what you'll get. The minimum salary there should be $7/hr. I was getting $7.45 and was told that was a crock. ALWAYS ask for slightly higher than what you expect to get so there's some negotiation room, and never go below Min wage.

    Lotsa luck!

minimum wage in stl is (according to my mom an accountant) $5.85 an hour since i don't need to support myself with this job but rather just want a source of income. ad thing is i have owned all the pets they sell hamsters guinea pigs cats dogs snakes fish birds i am the universal connector! woo hooo!
