IMO, the worst thing about driving in the snow is being wary of all the other drivers out there. Just take it easy, don't rush and you'll be fine!

At least you are not trying to drive in the snow here in Southeastern VA. We get a light dusting and everyone forgets how to drive it seems!! But then again, people around here seem to forget sometimes how to drive when it is raining! People down here are in too much of a rush ALL the time!! It can get scary!:)

Most trucks that have 4x4 are pretty easy to drive in, just don't give it too much gas every time you take off and try not to stop too much because sometimes your wheels will just spin if it's too slippery and it'll b hard to get it going again....one time i borrowed one of my dad's sports cars and i went to my friends house and it started snowing...hard, needless to say i spun out about 5 times and i thought i was gonna die every single one of those times...very scary

OMG, I am so glad to be home! The snow was not even the worst of it tonight; it barely stuck, and there is hardly a dusting yet. But the wind.. and the sleet.. it made for a hair-raising ride. I admit freely to never exceeding 45 mph in our 55-mph road.. whereas usually I can be seen careening down the road at 65-70 on a nice day (straightaway; you can literally see for 2 miles in every direction on the part that's fun to speed on!) I just drove with 4x4 on, and avoided any sudden jerky movements or stops or sudden starts.. luckily no one was behind nor in front of me and I only passed one truck (a plow) going the other way.
Wow though! We are supposed to get a foot overnight. I firmly believe in slow and steady for driving in this junk.
In town though, there was the standard moron going 55 in a 30 who had 4x4 and therefore thouhgt he was a god. I would not be surprised if he went off the road at some point.
