haha i love it when they say, " arent you afraid she will swallow you, or even eat your kids"? im like how a big nice hot cup of ................. :)

btw i took the venom out my bp's gland by jerking on their tails, and pinching their rear legs

I was asked just a couple days ago if my snakes could "wrap around you and kill you?" Also, "Aren't you afraid that if they get loose they will end up in bed with you?" I answered that if one of my snakes gets loose, I HOPE they get in bed with me! Makes them so much easier to find! I do regularly get asked if they are venomous (or poisonous), but it didn't come up in that conversation.

I hear that one alot, too, Steve..."OMG, aren't they POISONOUS?" "Then they don't have TEETH, right?", and my all time favorite: "So can they still BITE?"

Then here we go with bp basics, 1010...lol

It is hysterical. People will be over here, and see the snakes for the first time, and be all into touching them and even holding them. Then they will ask "is it venomous?" So, they picked up a snake that they thought could be venomous? I now just tell new people that they aren't as part of general conversation before they touch a snake.

I usually get that... "WHAT IF THEY BITE!!!"

To which I respond "well the last time I got bit..."

I am self serving though, I prefer the housepests don't touch my snakes. :)
