Frightening! It is sad that the guy has to lose business because of psycho-wife. If it were me though and i wanted the deal, I would have my husband call.. see, if we were all judged on misunderstandings and the ways we react to them, who would pass judgement? Example: last night, my husband calls and says he is about 5mins from home. So.. ten-fifteen mins go by. I ring him on his cell and get no answer.. then I hear ambulance sirens. I immediately freaked and was within a hairs' bredth of driving off to find him crashed into a ditch in my vehicle. I yelled some pretty crazed things out and the window was open.. my landlord was upstairs in his "weekend retreat" apartment.. heard me! Mark was fine and had just stopped at a store, but still.. I don't know. I guess everyone has to use their own judgement in situations where others go off the handle.

She could have had a legitimate reason, but hey.. there's plenty of folks with babies that HAVEN'T gone nuts on the phone with you.
If it seems hinky, then wait and get one elsewhere.

I see no reason a paranoid woman should make you drop this deal. It was a phone call, you have no idea what had occured previously or the reason for her tone. She could have thought it was something entirely different.
