Female ate her tail!!!

well heres an update. Took her in they trimed up the end of her tail cut the bone out.... About week later or so i put in my small female with her no problems.. she is now with my other rats and is doing great.. i'll post a pic of her tail when i get a chance..:)

Good job. How much of the tail is gone?

I'd like to see a picture of her. We have a female here named Stubby who lost her tail as a pink within a day or so of birth. Her momma kept her tidied up back there though and Stubby did just fine. She's recently retired after a great breeding life and is my husband's most spoiled rat. She sees Mike coming and stands up, bruxing louder than any rat I've ever heard LOL. If Mike dares to try and handle another of the females she lives with, she'll run over and gently nip at my husband's hands until he pays her attention first. What a spoiled brat rat! She's done very well with her little stub tail.

Funny enough she's always held the stub of her tail off to the side like that. Never straight out...I haven't a clue why.
