its supposed to be in one big piece.
you probably need to bump your humidity.

For tough sheds I usually wet down a pillow case with warm water, tie the snake up inside the pillow case, then put the snake back in his tub. Leave him there overnight. Next morning, you'll have a nice clean snake.
