Re: which rack brand would you choose?
If money wasn't an issue, I'd buy some ARS racks or Animal Plastics. But money is an issue... so I build up my racks slowly... I have one from Boaphile and 3 from RBI. One more RBI on the way.
Re: which rack brand would you choose?
If I'm buying them and not making my own, Animal plastics all the way for racks. mine were 180 each. As for stackable cages I go with Vision. Sliding glass doors are my fave.
Re: which rack brand would you choose?
I am also thinking about a rack. I am leaning towards the sweaterbox from Rich at reptile basics because he uses the Iris boxes which seem more visible than the Sterilite, etc..from animalplastics.com
Anyone with first hand experience care to comment on this?

Re: which rack brand would you choose?
I'm waiting on an Iris rack from Rich at Reptile Basics now.
Been awhile since I ordered ( 15 Sept) but I did call to change my order the day my original was supposed to be built.
He was very nice and helpful on the phone.
As of the 1st he was back-ordered on the Iris tubs though. He was supposed to get a shipment on Monday and get my rack out asap. Haven't spoken to him since then though.
From all the talk I have heard about RB racks on here it should be worth the wait.
Re: which rack brand would you choose?
I have an animal plastics rack. Each level holds either 1 sterilite 32qt or 2 sterilite 15 qt tubs. I highly recommend it! It definately makes my melamine racks look obsolete.
I'm saving up to get another rack that will hold several 41qt tubs. I'm leaning towards another animal plastics or a vision. I could save shipping on the vision since I'm in LA.
Whatever you choose, make sure you give us feedback.

Re: which rack brand would you choose?
Animal Plastics Economy Plastics line works amazing. I love it.
Re: which rack brand would you choose?
I plan on getting our first rack from Animal Plastics. We got two cages from them which we LOVE and the customer service was as quality and first rate as the enclosures! :sweeet:
Re: which rack brand would you choose?
I have a Boaphile RhinoRaxx and I like it alot. Holds heat well and humidity well, built sturdy and any questions I have ever had Jeff from Boaphile calls me back usually within that day.
If I was to purchase another rack it would be from Boaphile or from Herpenclosures.
I had an Animal Plastics cage and it was nice but I am not that fond of the whole heat cable deal. Flex seems to heat better and evenly spread out then the cable ever did for me.
Re: which rack brand would you choose?
Last time I checked, AP actually makes Sterilite, Rubbermaid, and Iris racks. They just added a VE175 rack. So, if you're looking for something that fits specific tubs, they've got almost everything covered.
I never had a problem with the heat gradient in my AP tubs, but it's true that wide flexwatt would cover a larger area for direct heat. Still, the cable is routered in so it doesn't rub, and it's a whole lot sturdier. I prefer the cables for longevity and safety.

I'm sorry, but I'm just a little confused by this statement. "Longevity and safety" as compared to what? Flexwatt?
Thank you for your time.
