I love my male corn, even though I got him as a 13month old from a breeder so he was never really handled. When I pick him up, he bolts as though he were on fire (which is the main reason his name is Aries - my spelling of the God of War), but he never tries to bite...guess I got lucky in that regard. I've been trying to handle him at least twice a week, but haven't had much luck lately due to midterms. Well, I'll just keep trying...hopefully he'll settle down before too long.
But I still wouldn't give him up. He's beautiful and so fun to watch eat. If I tried watching Nagini, she would probably refuse her food and hide. I would certainly recommend getting a juvenile and handling them regularly, though. I was too nervous about getting a tiny baby corn and having it not eat for me or get away, so I picked out an adult. Oh well, live and learn. :)
Thanks, really good advice. I think I would want a juvie anyway. Probably still cant get one until after the xmas season but maybe the bf will get me one!
