Are you a Bionicle fan?

LEGOS! The little kids' caltrops. Best stair boobytraps EVER. Especially at night with a similarly coloured rug... Ah, the budding rogue/ninja....

I used to love making all kinds of houses and vehicles with mine. I love the Escher Lego sculptures people have done! But then again, I love all things Escher! :carrot:

Has anyone seen the foam Escher lizards? I think they're kinda expensive, but cute wall deco.

Not so big in to bionical... but a huge lego fan!

Yes it is a toy, but Bionicle also has a vast storyline (it's not plotless).

That's a myth. There are no restrictions whatsoever when building with Bionicle sets. Go to this link (edit out the *) *http://bionicle.lego.com/en-us/Gallery/default.aspx* and you will see how many building possibilities there are with Bionicle sets. Just like "old school lego" every Bionicle set has pieces that are compatible with others.

What's wrong with "Plotless"? :) As a child, I always preferred toys that let me create my own worlds and storylines (and some of those got wildly complex). I think it led to my hobbies of RP (yes, I've been both a DM and an ST in various systems [and still prefer text-based to the flash and dazzle of MMORPG]). Even toys with storylines, doesn't mean a child has to use them. ^_^

I do believe that the cardboard refrigerator (or other appliance) box was inducted to the Toy Hall of Fame for just that reason. A fridge box in the backyard (and maybe as a bonus a bag or two of playsand) and/or maybe an assortment of various action figures (or legos, tinkertoys, vehicles, insects, and maybe a friend with an equally active imagination, whatever) and you had a summer of fun!

Just ask Calvin and Hobbes. ;)

The storyline is just a bonus. You can still make your own story and stuff.

Try this... get two bags of holding... and a bag of popcorn. Turn one BoH inside out. Insert it into the other. Watch the universe end in spectacular time-space warp inversion. Eat popcorn while watching.

The problem about building mechs out of lego is that it's hard to make them without it looking too "bricky". That mech in the photo really does look like one; It looks like a Warhawk mech (except mechs don't have a sniper rifle on top and they're entrance is from the bottom of the cocpit, not from a "tank-hatch").
