The Omaha, Nebraska show is this Sunday, though.

Not sure if you want to really call this one a show.I have a few people i know that say this place is like going to a pet store :( .I even sent for info last year and they stated they have maybe 3 or 4 tables with a few animals each.If you want to travel then i suggest the Indy show at the fairgrounds the last sunday of each month :)

Joepythons, are you talking about the Nebraska show or the Iowa show? The last Iowa show I was at there were about 30 tables or so. Not a HUGE show but not that small either. I've never been to the Nebraska show so don't know much about that one. At the upcoming one, I'm sure that some of the larger vendors will include Jim Stelphlug, and probably Marc Bailey and Gerrick DeMeyer. I haven't seen a vendors list so I really don't know who else will be there. I think the animal sale should be pretty good, but mainly I'm going there for the list of speakers.

Wow, talk about thread necromancy at it's best. This is over 2 years old.

Yes, the Iowa Herp societies annual sale will be held this year in Des Moines at the Holiday Inn at 4800 West Merle Rd. on Nov 8th from 10:00am to 4:00pm They always used to hold this show in September and I'm really glad they've decided to move it back to November. It makes for a nice 'last show of the year' and you can usually get some REALLY good deals.

The 2009 Midwest Herp Symposium is being hosted this year by the Chicago herp society and is being held concurrently with the NARBC Tinley park show on Oct 10-11 so there won't be any live animal sales at the symposium this year (This will be the first year I remember that happening). The Symposium itself is being held at Georgios Comfort Inn in Orlando Park IL which is about 10 minutes away from the Tinley Park Holiday Inn where the NARBC show is being held.

Here is the link to the Midwest Herp Symposium. They've only got 6 speakers listed so far with only a month to go, I'm not sure how much effort CHS is really putting into it this year. http://www.chicagoherp.org/mhs/
